Just before Jesus Ascended Into Heaven, His Disciples Asked...
Just before Jesus ascended into heaven his disciples asked "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?" (Acts 1:6) What an interesting question they had posed. And for those who have been taught the idea that the mission of Israel passed away when Jesus was crucified, it’s time for you to reconsider what you have been taught. The answer Jesus gave the disciples that day was the equivalent of an “I don’t know, but my Father knows the time.” Here are his words from the book of acts “He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority" (Acts 1:7).
Jesus wants his people to know; in fact he wants the entire world to be aware that there is a date, known only by the Father, when He will set Israel at the head of all nations by His authority. Just as the strongest goose powers its way to the head of the flock and eases the journey of his fellow travelers; so the children of Israel will be given authority by the Father to lead the nations and restore them to the practices of the everlasting Kingdom. “He (the Father) has declared that he will set you (Israel) in praise, fame and honor high above all the nations he has made and that you will be a people holy to the LORD your God, as he promised”(Deuteronomy 26:19).
The descendants of Israel who bring this Kingdom will know the requirements of YHWH and do them just as they were originally commanded. God fearing men, women and children of all nations will gather behind Israel to receive the blessings that were promised to them. As the Kingdom of Rome (who is currently assigned by YHWH lead the nations) declines; the Kingdom of Israel will continue to grow in strength and cover the entire earth. All who follow the lead of the people of Israel will collectively become part of the “everlasting kingdom” as stated in the book of Daniel. “The sovereignty, power and greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be handed over to the saints (Israel), the people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.' (Daniel 7:27)
